If you are going to the Gulf as a warehouse helper, the first question is simple: which country pays more? The answer is not obvious, because each Gulf country pays in its own currency. This guide puts the six countries side by side, explains what changes the number in your offer letter, and shows how to check a real offer in your own currency.
Warehouse helper salary in 6 Gulf countries (2026–27)
These are the monthly ranges stored in Resume Arab's Salary Check tool for the Warehouse Helper category:
| Country | Monthly salary (local currency) |
|---|---|
| Saudi Arabia | SAR 900 – 1,400 |
| UAE | AED 800 – 1,300 |
| Qatar | QAR 900 – 1,400 |
| Oman | OMR 110 – 160 |
| Kuwait | KWD 75 – 110 |
| Bahrain | BHD 90 – 130 |
Source: Resume Arab salary data (Salary Check tool). These are typical ranges for planning, not job offers — real offers depend on the employer, experience and whether food and accommodation are included. Last checked: October 2026.
Because Omani, Kuwaiti and Bahraini currencies are worth much more per unit, their numbers look small. That is why comparing in your home currency matters — the Salary Check tool converts each range to Indian rupees using live rates.
Cross-check with outside data
Our tool's ranges are planning figures, and they should always be checked against live market data. For the UAE, outside sources point higher than the tool's AED 800–1,300 band:
- GulfTalent's Dubai warehouse assistant data reports an average of about AED 2,500 a month, with a range of roughly AED 1,500–3,000 (from a small sample of registered workers).
- Live warehouse helper listings on Indeed UAE include posts paying up to about AED 2,500 a month, often with accommodation and transport.
So treat the UAE row above as the low end of the market, typical of packages where food, housing and transport are all provided. We are reviewing this row of our tool.
Legal minimum wages you should know
Two Gulf countries have a published minimum wage that applies to helpers:
- Qatar: a minimum basic wage of QAR 1,000 a month, plus at least QAR 300 for food and QAR 500 for housing if the employer does not provide them, under Law No. 17 of 2020 (Gulf News). Any Qatar offer with a basic below QAR 1,000 is below the legal floor, so do not accept it.
- Kuwait: a private-sector minimum of KWD 75 a month, in place since 2017 according to Kuwait Times.
Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman and Bahrain do not publish a single minimum wage for expatriate helpers, so comparing several offers is the best protection.
What makes your offer higher or lower
- Food and accommodation. Many warehouse jobs include a shared room, transport and sometimes food. An offer of AED 1,000 with free accommodation can be worth more than AED 1,300 without it.
- Overtime. Warehouses often run long shifts. Ask how overtime is paid and whether it is included in the quoted salary.
- Experience. Helpers with 1–2 years of warehouse or packing experience usually sit higher in the range.
- Forklift skills. A helper who can also operate a forklift (with the right local licence) can move into a better-paid role.
- Company size. Large logistics and retail groups often pay steadier salaries through the official wage-protection system.
What a warehouse helper actually does
- Loading and unloading containers and trucks
- Picking and packing orders, labelling and scanning
- Stacking stock safely and keeping aisles clear
- Counting stock during cycle counts
- Following safety rules for lifting and moving goods
If you have done any of this in your home country — in a godown, factory store, courier hub or supermarket backroom — it counts as experience. Put it on your CV.
How to check a real offer in 3 steps
- Open the Salary Check tool and choose Warehouse Helper.
- Compare your offer with the range for that country.
- Look at the live rupee conversion to see what the salary means at home.
If your offer is far below the range, ask the agency what is included (food, room, transport, overtime). If it is far above, ask for the offer in writing before paying anything.
A simple CV line for warehouse helpers
Even a short CV gets more calls when it shows numbers:
- "Loaded and unloaded 4–6 containers a day for an FMCG distributor"
- "Picked and packed 300+ orders per shift with scanner"
- "Helped with monthly stock counts for 2,000+ items"
Use your own true numbers. Resume Arab's CV builder can turn simple answers like these into clean CV lines.
Warning: never pay to get a job
A genuine employer or licensed agency gives you a written offer. Be careful of anyone who asks for large cash "visa fees" with no paperwork. In India, recruitment for the Gulf should go through an agency registered on the government's eMigrate system.
FAQ
Is a QAR 900 helper offer in Qatar legal?
No. Qatar's minimum basic wage is QAR 1,000 a month, plus food and housing or allowances for them.
Which Gulf country pays warehouse helpers the most?
In local numbers the ranges look close. Converted at the fixed dollar pegs, Oman shows the highest upper range in our data, followed by Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Outside data suggests UAE helper pay is often higher than our planning range, so compare real offers and check live rupee figures in the tool.
Is accommodation usually free?
Often, but not always. Always ask and get it written in the offer.
Do I need experience?
Many helper jobs accept freshers. Any loading, packing or store work helps.
