Executive Housekeeper

The role

The Executive Housekeeper runs the housekeeping department of the hotel: rooms, public areas, laundry and linen. Day to day this means:

• Planning daily room assignments and staff rosters so check-outs and arrivals are ready on time.
• Supervising room attendants, public-area cleaners and laundry staff, and training new joiners.
• Inspecting rooms and public areas against brand standards and following up on guest complaints.
• Managing inventory of linen, amenities and cleaning chemicals, and controlling the department budget.
• Working with front office and engineering on room status and maintenance issues.

Salary and benefits

• BHD 400 per month.
• Free food, accommodation and transportation.
• 8-hour duty.
• 2-year contract on a Bahrain employment visa.

Who should apply

• At least 3 years of experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel, with a supervisory or assistant-head role in housekeeping.
• Comfortable with staff scheduling, inspections and stock control.
• Good spoken and written English. Hotel software experience (for example Opera) is a plus.
